Owners Tryfon and Suzie Chatzopoulos

When my wife Suzie and I were creating our restaurant we wanted the name to be part of our Greek heritage.  We named the restaurant after a mountain named Belles (bell-is) that is near our village in Greece.  We wanted to keep out culture and ancestry close to us. Which is why we play greek music and have pictures of our grandparents and other family members in our restaurant.  We wanted to keep our heritage close to us while being proud of where we came from.
  

           Suzie's family lives in Orangeburg, South Carolina.  Her family owns two House of Pizza locations in Orangeburg.  Suzie grew up in the restaurant business working for her family.  I also worked for Suzie's family’s restaurant when I moved to South Carolina.  Before moving to Orangeburg I lived in Massachusetts working for my uncle in his pizza restaurant. Working for my uncle was the beginning of my dream. I knew I wanted to own and operate a restaurant.  While working at the House of Pizza's in Orangeburg I learned some great recipes that I use today in my own restaurant.  I gained great experience in learning how to operate and manage a business.
 
            When it was time to look for a location Suzie and I were drawn to Summerville.  Summerville is a place with great character, growth and opportunity to build and grow a business.  We were eager and excited to be part of a great community that takes so much pride in itself.  Belles House of Pizza opened on June 14, 2004. We are so grateful for the wonderful support from this wonderful community.  Owning a restaurant has been a dream come true for us.  We are very thankful to Summerville and the surrounding areas for giving us the opportunity to grow and become a successful business. We look forward in creating wonderful relationships with this great community for many years to come.
